Research for Video Music
I am researching music for my video, this is done by looking at websites such as Unsigned.com and WavCloud.com . Looking at these websites enables the music to be allowed for use by the student and rules out any problems with copy right and ownership. The music that i eventually pick will have to be certified by the owner to say that it is legal to use the song.

Examples of Music Videos/ My favourite music video
This video has good use of soft music for a romantic song, it also has use of old costume and setting to create a theme of Romeo and Juliet, a classic love story which matches the name of the song.
I like the simplicity of this music video by Florence and the Machine as it uses one tone and attracts viewers with glamour and sparkle. The way she is positioned in the video makes her the main focus in the video, this enhances her powerful voice.
This music video by Lady Gaga attracts her fans to want to watch the video because it is quirky and continues her crazy dress and costume appearance. The costumes are striking and the music video is choreographed well which increases her talent and progresses her fans to want to watch the video to hear and see her latest work.
My Favourite Music Video
Christina Perri- Jar of Hearts - This is my favourite music video as it contains lots of emotion in the song, and I also like the artist. I also like the monochrome effect of the video as it adds to the emotion of sadness because its dull but contains a broken romantic meaning. The featured dancing is very moving as it matches the slow tone of the song and adds to the emotion once again.
The Brief
My task is to produce a music video that will be about 5 minutes long, I will either be working on my own or in a group of up to four members. The music that I am going to chose will need to be accepted by the owner. I will also be making a digipak (a cover for my CD) and a magazine advertisement for the digipak. I will then finally make a critical evaluation of my work.
