For my music video song we will be using a song created by one of our group members (Charlotte), so we don't need to check if the song is allowed to be used by the owner. This will make our music video have more emotion as the creator will also be in our video.

Music Video Song
Today in my media lesson we are researching a variety of songs for our music video, so we can chose a song for our finished vox-pop. I have also been looking at past blogs to gather ideas and know what themes and ideas my group needs to achieve.

Sinead O Connors Music Video 'Nothing Compares To You'
A music video that we have seen in class is Sinead O'Connor's song 'Nothing Compares to You'. This music video is iconic as the singer demonstrates strong emotions by crying in the middle of the video, as the song was dedicated to her deceased mother. Throughout the music video shows her face in the camera which is very natural looking, In between the shots of her face, are pictures of nature 'water, and statues of angel figures'. This adds to the emotion and belief in the song, where the themes music video matches the song. The music video was also filmed in two minutes on the same day, which indicates that there was no need for dancing, or strong costumes, as the music was dominating itself.
