Question 2: How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts(DVD digipak, Magazine Advert?)

Now that I have finished the music video and ancillary tasks, I am able to answer why the video, digipak and magazine advert's are effective.

When analysing the combination of my video and ancillary tasks, I believe that they are effective with each other because they match the soft and acoustic genre of music. The song 'Simon' matches the Magazine Advert with the themes of love, friendship and nature with the Magazine Advert because its appeal to the audience portrays the same message of innocence and nature with the image of flowers. Similarly my video contains the theme of nature throughout with the footage of birds, trees, berries, rabbits, ducks and swans mostly set in the park and at the beach, which maintains the same acoustic theme throughout.
